Lisheen castle was restored from total ruin from 1995 –2000 by the Everard family. Since then it has operated as luxury self-catering accommodation. During your stay at Lisheen the entire castle will be exclusive to you and your party.

The romance of the castle lends itself perfectly to an intimate wedding celebration. Host the wedding ceremony in the formal reception room or outside on the grounds. After the wedding ceremony enjoy the celebrations with a wedding meal served in Lisheen Castle’s wonderful formal dining room or select a restaurant of your choice in the locality before heading to the local pub to enjoy the music and the craic into the early hours.
Rent Lisheen Castle for the week of the wedding, allowing you and your closest group of family and friends the opportunity to spend time, tour, prepare, celebrate and reminisce about your wedding day all under the one roof. We offer complete privacy for an intimate group in one of the most romantic castle weddings venue not only in Ireland but in the world.
The castle is primarily a luxury rental vacation property, we offer weekly rentals from Saturday-Saturday. Our rates are based on up to 14 persons sharing but the castle can accommodate a maximum of 16 persons including children, the type of weddings that take at the castle are very small intimate weddings with usually just the people staying at the castle attending, the wedding couple organise these simple wedding and we can organise a chef for you and offer recommendations such as celebrants, photographers, cake makers, hair & make up, flowers and musicians if required.
We allow these small intimate family weddings take place at the castle at no extra cost, the reason we don’t charge anything extra is because these intimate weddings are organised by the bride and groom themselves which is easily done with a little guidance and some recommendations from myself so really no wedding planner required. The castle is only available for very small intimate weddings for the party staying at the castle.
