Walsh’s Hotel (formerly known as “The Inn of Maghera”) has been a feature of Maghera since 1760 and is where local people find love, friendship, celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and births and find sympathy and comfort during difficult times such as funerals. It is the “cornerstone of the community” much like the ancient stone that has been in the same place outside the hotel since its opening also called the “cornerstone”.
Walsh’s is a place where travelers from near or far find comfort and a warm welcome, where they can feel at ease but with a certain sense of occasion like visiting your favorite auntie who lets you have a wee sip of brandy.

Hosting just one wedding per day means you will receive the utmost in personal service and attention. With a dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator, our professional banqueting team will offer advice on menu’s, wines and entertainment and are available to discuss any individual requirements.
